  Eyelash extensions are beautiful, convenient, and impactful. But to keep them looking flawless for as long as possible, proper aftercare is key. Many women start losing volume just a couple of weeks after the procedure simply because they don’t know how to care for their lashes correctly.

  Here are 7 simple but essential tips to help keep your extensions in perfect shape until your next fill:

  1. Don’t rub your eyes. This is one of the golden rules! Rubbing damages the adhesive and can cause your extensions to fall out early. If your eyes itch, gently dab the corner with a cotton swab.
  2. Avoid oily products. Oils and greasy textures are the enemy of lash extensions — they break down the glue. Stick to oil-free micellar water and sulfate-free foaming cleansers only.
  3. Keep them dry for the first 24 hours. After the procedure, the glue is still setting. Water exposure too early can weaken the bond. Avoid showers, saunas, or intense workouts on the first day.
